SpringCore is the basic framework of SocialSpring that comes standard with each implementation.

  • Authentication

    Encrypted user authentication with support for the OpenID standard.

  • Advanced Profiles

    Advanced widget-based profile platform with drag-and-drop rearrangement.

  • Roles

    Users can have roles such as Administrator or Moderator, including infinite custom roles.

  • Relationships

    Relationships between users such as friends (mutual relationships) and followers (one-sided relationships). Users may block one another.

  • Messaging

    Users can send and receive messages to and from their friends. Messages include full-text e-mail notifications.

  • Groups

    Users may form groups, including private and invitation-only groups. Groups can receive messages and have their own profile pages.

  • Privacy

    Users have fine-grained control over privacy, controlling who can see each and every piece of information they choose to share.

  • Tagging, Voting, and Rating

    Context-aware tagging, voting, and rating are built into SpringCore to provide meta information to all areas of the platform.

    Users may flag content as inappropriate or based on a number of customizable criteria with actionable thresholds.

  • Microformatting

    SocialSpring sites use microformat standards to provide semantic information as well as search engine optimization.

  • Notifications

    Keep your users engaged through a robust notification system that provides e-mail, RSS, and on-site updates whenever user-selected relevant events occur.

  • Extensibility

    SocialSpring sites are built using modular 'coils'—small vertical slices of code that perform specific functions. You can customize your SocialSpring implementation by adding on standard coils or getting new ones custom-made.
